Kathryn (Katie) Boardman is a 1982 graduate of the Cooperstown Graduate Program. Boardman is from Roanoke, Virginia. As a child she enjoyed spending time in her grandparents' antique shop. While in undergraduate school she earned a degree in Liberal Studies including music performance, history, and art history. When an internship opened up at The Farmers' Museum she applied. This led to a twenty-year career at The Farmers' Museum. Today, she is an adjunct professor at the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

ST= Tell me about your favorite part of being a CGP student?
KB= The community, hands down and by community, I mean the community of the students the community of the faculty. The people we were getting to know in town. The community at the hospital. The people I mean that was the best ever. I did not live on campus, except for a short period of time in my undergraduate years and I missed that, and I'd never lived in a small town. So, the combination of that and all those folks getting together, going and doing things. Potlucks and hanging out. The community activities that were happening like you know the festival in the winter, the winter carnival festivals. That kind of stuff. I think that was the very favorite part. It's the people.
